Update 0.12

Feb 15, 2024 • Bastian van den Bout

We have just launched a new update for the fastflood.org tool. There are quite a lot of new features, including major behavior improvements for large rivers at low quality settings. We have also added automatically-linked climate analysis, and the ability to analyize a rainfall graph and use it as input for the model directly. Finally, many stability improvements and bug fixes.

The new article on the improved hydraulic behavior is linked on the Publications page and available in pre-print.

Some users might be using and relying on consistent output from a version of the model. For this reason, we will provide (but not actively support) previous versions as well. For now, you can find an older version of the website here:

version 0.11.0

version 0.10.0

version 0.9.1

Some of the features we are working on for upcoming updates relate to 3d visualization, improved (and much more robust) forecasting, improved infiltration behavior and a stand-alone desktop tool.

Good luck with your modelling efforts,

Bastian van den Bout
